Homemade Skin Relief Cream

I love sharing my oils with everyone and all the goodness that comes from using them.  One of the first people I wanted to help was my mother.  She was "diagnosed" with psoriasis years ago when she started getting these painful scaly broken areas of skin all over her body.  They were mainly concentrated on her hands and face. After doing some research I saw that many people saw great results with Melrose oil for eczema and other skin issues. I've used Melrose and Lavender on my kids when they have had skin injuries to help with healing and minimize scaring so I decided to give this recipe a try.  I added Frankincense in for all its wonderful healing benefits with  scars and skin health. She's starting to see some results from this combination where many strong steroid creams have not helped.  I love being able to help her in a natural way with no negative side effects!

Skin Relief Cream

Ingredients:

1/2 c organic coconut oil

15 drops  Melrose Oil

15 drop Lavender Oil

5-10 drops Frankincense Oil (optional)

1 tsp Vitamin E oil  (optional)

1. Put the Coconut oil and vitamin E oil in a bowl. Do not heat! It will whip up only if it is cold.

2. Use your mixer and mix the oils on high for 5-7 minutes until whipped, light and airy.

3. Add your essential oils and mix just a little longer till blended completely

4. Add your whipped Skin Relief Cream to a jar.  I used a glass jar I found from Target's dollar section. If you are gifting you can add a cute ribbon around the lip like I did!

Notes:  You could mix up a larger batch of the coconut oil whip and give out as gifts to family and friends. You could also do other mixes of essential oils for other friends with your left over coconut oil. Try Lavender and Lemon. Rosemary and Lime.  Maybe Lemongrass and Peppermint. All would make great creams.  Great smelling, moisturizing, and great for your health!

This recipe is part of a Blog Hop!  It my first time I'm doing this and it's pretty exciting!  Please check out the other ladies recipes and be sure to leave a comment to win one of my recipes and enter for a chance to win a Grand Prize from the Essence of Christmas Collection!!!
